The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service position designed for intervention experiences a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance entry to Social Assistance expert services,” read more the agency said.
